We collect information you provide directly when you fill out a visa application form, including: full name, date of birth, nationality, passport number and photos, US address, phone number, email address, visa photo, address proof, and any historical China visa or passport documents you upload. We also collect payment information through Stripe, though we do not store credit card numbers ourselves.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used exclusively to: (1) prepare and submit your China visa application to the Chinese Consulate; (2) communicate with you about your application status; (3) process payments via Stripe; (4) provide customer support. We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to your visa application.
Photo Document Handling
All photos and documents (passport pages, visa photos, address proof) are used solely for preparing your visa application. Uploaded documents are encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption (AES-256). Documents are retained for 12 months after your application is processed, then securely deleted. You may request immediate deletion at any time by emailing info@ichinavisa.com.
Data Sharing
We share your application data with the Chinese Consulate General (Los Angeles or San Francisco) as required by law for visa processing. We share payment data with Stripe for payment processing. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including: SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit; encrypted storage for all uploaded documents; access controls limiting staff access to customer data; regular security reviews. While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
Cookies
Our website uses minimal cookies necessary for site functionality and security. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use session cookies to maintain your form state during the application process.
